The trees talk to me!
Well, maybe they do, maybe they don't. But when I take my walks under the trees, not only do I often walk away feeling embraced and loved, I often seem to "hear" encouraging messages.
Today, what seemed to come to me was...
"You are on the right path, headed in the right direction! Everything is unfolding exactly as it should. Even the longings you have, to grow and shift and reach for something more, are part of the unfolding. Trust that it will continue to unfold."
Just what I needed. Especially, these past few days. I've been so cranky! I haven't been feeling well and it has made me quite irritable.
I just want to flop down on the bed and lie there undisturbed for a day or two.
But it's good to know things are still percolating even with my crankiness!

Welcome Back, Moon!
Just a few minutes ago, I saw the moon again for the first time in weeks!!
I have had many comforting things happen today. Church was wonderful! We had a "remember your baptism" thing where we could dip our fingers into water and then, make the cross on our foreheads. I did that and while praying at the altar afterward, I was just overwhelmed with love for God and gratitude and really felt connected.
This afternoon, my son and I went for a walk beneath the trees and I felt very deeply connected then, too. Totally surrounded by love! Like they were or God was reaching out to me with love.
We're about to have "pizza night"! Another source of comfort :).
I've been working on healing something and I must say, it's not the most fun I've ever had. But boy, God has been right there with me! (As always).
I'm grateful!

Feeling Better
I took a wonderful nature walk with my son (we gave that name to our taking-out-the-trash adventure) and stopped in front of a group of trees to listen as they had quite an interesting conversation! While I was there, I was singing inside my head, "we will rock you, rock you, rock you, we will rock you, rock you now" from Shawn Colvin's CD and I got this image of me holding Jesus and rocking Him.
Now, that's the Jesus I'm anxious to meet. Tender, gentle, sweet! Although ostensibly, we celebrate the birth of a baby, we almost always end up thinking about a fully-grown man/God. But I need tenderness and innocence and wonder, perfected. And gentleness and sweet comfort.
And a child's wholehearted love!
Anyway, I'm feeling cheered.
One special reason is I switched tomorrow's client (after a cancellation) to this afternoon, and so, I now have met with my last client for 2007!
I am officially ON VACATION!!!! YAY! :)
