Closed for Repair

For the second day in a row, when I took my walk, I felt distant as I approached, stood in front of and walked by the trees. Even the one I call the love tree!

Today, I stood there a little longer in silence and considered what might be going on with me. I thought about the fact that I'd been quite prickly this week and had not felt well. And coincidently, I'd done some major healing work on an old childhood wound just this past Saturday. Hmm. Maybe not such a coinkidink, after all.

A few minutes went by and I began to perceive an energy barrier between me and the trees. I pictured my heart opening, which seemed like a way to tell myself that currently it was closed. Perhaps it has been closed for repair. And maybe that's what that energy barrier was all about.

My son was clingy for a couple of days this week. They are incredibly sensitive to what happens with us. I had thought it was because he didn't feel well, and indeed, we've both been under the weather. But perhaps we've both been clearing. Releasing.

I believe that when you heal, you heal backwards, forwards and sideways, so he would have benefited from the work I did, too.

I think that explains a lot of what we've been experiencing! I just didn't recognize it. Once you start healing, nothing ever presents itself clearly, even on exit, because it doesn't look the same.

Well, anyway, I suppose I'll stop writing and go do some active clearing!

Touching Earth

Another great homeschooling day, although I am still recovering from sitting next to someone with pets during the scrapbooking crop Saturday afternoon.

In the middle of our day, I had a break, for a meeting. The group of us who take turns facilitating Sunday School at church had a meeting this morning. We need to choose a focus for the next few months, but half of us weren't there so we put off making a final decision until next week.

Then, Jonathan had ballroom dance class, followed by social graces class.

Our day ended with a walk under the trees. But this time we were able to get closer then we usually do. Because people use that courtyard area for their dogs and often aren't courteous about cleaning up afterward, we don't go in too far. But the landscaping people cleared it out today and there was rich dark soil to walk on when we got back this afternoon.

So we walked up to our favorite trees, talked to them, infused their energies and connected solidly to the earth beneath us.

I'm glad the day is over, but it had some great moments!!

Happy Homemade Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I've had a great day, so far! I just had a nice long bath complete with romance novel (of course it was written for Christmas, but that just added a merry touch to my Love Day celebration). This is my last work day of the week, so I have had clients this afternoon, but I've managed to celebrate in between.

I think I've had the most fun today when I was spreading the love around. This morning, both my son and I prepared homemade Valentine's Day cards and gifts for each other, and our homeschooling had a Valentine's Day theme. Then, later, I made smileboxes for my friends and had a great time sending those off by email.

This afternoon, my son and I used reiki to send love to family and friends. That felt good, too!

And I think in a little while, we'll take a little walk and soak up the love we feel with our trees. Jonathan has begun to see aura colors when we do reiki and there's one tree we love where he has begun to see an aura color, too, as we walk by.

Wonder which color he'll see today?
